Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble Audition Application

To Audition, complete the below form and click the link below to sign up for a time slot to audition:

Auditions are Monday March 31 and Tuesday April 1, 2025.

The following items are Required to be considered for Wind Ensemble-

Select and prepare an etude or solo that is at least 32 measures long. This can be unaccompanied, but will likely be more successful with a piano accompaniment if one is available. Students should work to find their own accompanist, if applicable.
Perform the following scales in quarter notes at 120 bpm: Concert Bb Major 1 Octave, Concert F Major 2 Octave, Concert Eb Major 1 Octave, Chromatic F Major Scale 2 Octave
Perform a melodic or rhythmic sightreading selected by the directors.

Percussion Ensemble Audition:
The following items are Required to be considered for Percussion Ensemble-
1. Select and prepare a keyboard or battery etude or solo that is at least 32 measures long. This can be unaccompanied, but if intended to be performed with a piano accompaniment, it is likely be more successful if the excerpt is performed with that accompaniment. Students should work to find their own accompanist, if applicable.
2. Perform the following scales in quarter notes at 120 bpm on a keyboard instrument: D Major, G Major, C Major, F Major, Bb Major, Eb Major
3. Perform a rhythmic sightreading selected by the directors.
